Best advice I can give for you is this. keep the quests down to a minimum. go ahead and get your basic skill Right away, but do not commit to 2ndary profession... Then fight fight fight... Till you can not level up anymore... basically everything you fight will give you 0 exp at around level 8 or 9 depending on class.. Then go and do EVERY quest there is including ALL the 2nd profession quests.. Only after you did them all commit to one of them... and do the last two quests for that 2ndary... Saving the quest for last allows you to gain more exp for leveling, cause nothing around that you can kill is giving you any exp by this time. so Quests are the only way to do it..
The Max level in presearing kingdoms is lev 15. Once I'm lev 12 or so All quest are done, and I normally head to the northlands, which is your only hope of gaining exp by this point... If you manage to kill EVERY char and Root and Gnarl in the northlands, not only will it yield you your first Gold or purple item in the game, BUT it often unlocks your first RUNE, AND you are prob near lev 15... go to the academy and Kick some major butt... and walk into old ascalon well prepared. though by doing this you make it so you can not go head to head in the under lev 10 arena in ascalon. so you go tto walk to yaks bend to battle your next PvP... however by the time you walk there you will prob be level 16 or more... so you might have to go all the way to lions arch to do your next PvP. So that would suck. lol
Smitting Rocks in northlands... So does a good longbow... ITs handy for drawing them out to you.. in groups they are very hard, but if you manage to get them seperated they are very easy to pick off... my lev 13 Monk/ Elementist did really well in there solo... I was quite surprised...
